Deva Municipal Swimming Pool Complex

The Municipal Swimming Pool in Deva is located on the National Road (DN) 7, on Calea Zarandului in the county, having an area of ​​over 15,000 sqm. The complex consists of four pools of different depths, so that each of those who come to splash, have the opportunity to choose depending on how good a swimmer they are. Within the complex, which was first opened in 1971, you can also find terraces, from where you can eat different dishes or cool off with a cold drink. Also, inside the complex there is a book stand offered by the County Library "Ovid Densusianu" Hunedoara-Deva, where you can borrow books or magazines, which you will return at the end of the day. There are also locker rooms, toilets and sports fields, as well as first aid points.

Functional since 1971

The Deva swimming pool was built in 1971 and since then, every year thousands of Hunedoara residents and tourists come here to spend their free time in the sun or in the pool waters. Inside the complex there are two smaller pools, where children can bathe at will. One of them is also equipped with a slide. A third pool has an average depth, and the Olympic pool can be tested by anyone who knows how to swim well. Tourists can choose to spend the day on the sun loungers provided by the representatives of the pool or they can sit directly with the blanket on the grass. After a good splash, visitors can opt for a game of volleyball on the sandy beach or play football on the grounds arranged inside the complex. At the same time, the youngest customers have playgrounds, where they can have fun when they are not in the water. The complex is also equipped with showers, toilets, a Red Cross first aid point and a lifeguard point.
