The best skiers and snowboarders are meeting today at Uricani (Hunedoara), near the National Park Retezat, to prove their skills and test their limits in the only contest of hike & ride in Romania.
Name “Oslea Hiride 2017”, the competition is at its 6 edition this year. The Oslea massif from Vulcan Mountains is going to be conquered by 130 skiers and snowboarders, in the only competition of hike & ride from Romania, Red Bull Oslea Hiride.
The event takes place today, 25 February, at Cheile Butii from Campu lui Neag (Uricani). There will be veterans who attended every edition of the event however, that won’t stop people who are coming for the first time to test their limits.
The contest is spread into 2 sections : ski and snowboard, each of them including 4 categories : female open, male open, female pro and male pro.
